On November 12, 2010, Whole Foods Market is featuring 31/40 count (medium) cooked shrimp at just $5.99 per pound! The shrimps are cooked, peeled and deveined, with just the tail left on, perfect for dipping or pasta recipes. This is 50% off the regular price and the shrimp can be thawed ready to eat or frozen in 2 pound bags. Whole Foods is limiting 10 pounds of shrimp to each customer.
I know most of us are skeptical about farm-raised seafood but before you dismiss this great deal check out Whole Foods strict Quality Standards and third-party verification process about farm-raised seafood, where it comes from, and what sets their shrimp apart from the rest.
My favorite meal to make with shrimp is the Garlic Lime Shrimp with Black Bean and Corn Salad. I originally found this recipe in the June/July issue of Kiwi Magazine and it’s become a new addition to the Gill Recipe Book. It has become a favorite to many blogs too and they have been posting their versions of it. I couldn’t find the recipe on Kiwi Magazine’s Website and I am too lazy tonight to type the entire recipe down so this video on how to make Garlic Lime Shrimp with Black Bean and Corn Salad will be sufficient for tonight. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
